Featured Replies

i have a pack of bass assasin shad assasins and was wondering how to fish them. the only way i know is to texas rig them witha a 1/8 bullet weight and real it in with a steady and slow retreive...any suggestions

arent these alot like flukes?

Yes they are flukes. You can fish it like a jerbait too, they will dart around threw the water. Try putting a split shot ahead of the bait or even clamping it onto the hook. Both will make it work a little different. Stand up jig heads work too. I prefer a heavy head so when I pick it up and drop it They really slam into the bottom and stir up some dirt.

The original bass assassin is a fluke, but they have an entire line of cool stuff.  My favorite is the Charm Assassin, a trickworm/finesse worm type bait.  It is my favorite soft plastic worm, currently.  I fish it shakey head style, or weightless.  It is a high floater, and I have had great success with both methods.  I have my PB on a Charm Assassin.

I think the scent in the Bass Assassin line is better than anything else out there right now, but maybe only because it is something the fish don't see a thousand times a week...

I like the bass assasin fluke type bait.  I use flukes and sluggo's often, but the bass assasin seems to have a litte faster sink rate.  I can fish it more like a jerk bait.  Pluse they have some metal flake colors that work really well.

I use Flukes all the time.

T-Rig them weightless, let them sink for a few seconds, then give it a few twitches, let it sit for a few seconds, then twitch again. They make very spastic realistic movements.
