I want to go fishing.... Who has been out? Anyone going anywhere this saturday?

Those are some nice fish. Hopefully I will be able to get out to my local hole this weekend.

Made it out to a local park pond today. Only managed to catch one 10" dink on a 8" jerk bait. Had to make my way through the mobs of trout fisherman.

What would you guys suggest I look for in a rod that I plan on using for drop shotting and maybe a little shaking?

If you want to get hands on you could make that bait. take a fat ika and cut off the tails, melt them back onto the body. Then cut a regular senko down so you have two pieces and then melt them to the ends of your old fat ika. My question is though, what is it supposed to resemble?

If you are in florida, there will be plenty of other fishes that would love those big baits. Barracuda, peacock, redfish to name a few.

I can get 'em for free for a few minutes work. It'll make me feel like a kid again. Yea and an aging person when your back is killing you from walking bent over. Worms will work though. Fish em t rigged the same as plastics.

Find some open water and go fishing. Fish do eat year round.

What? Are you saying that most of the pond was frozen and you through a jig into the one spot that was not and caught a 3 pounder?
