I think I know the answer to this question but here goes. Anyone have any experience with Dyneema braid coming out of China? I'm a firm believer in the old axiom "if it sounds too good to be true, then it's too good to be true" Saw on eBay that I could get 300 yards 50lb braid for 10.00 shipped. I'm leery,especially since it's coming out of China. I'm a budget fisherman and looking to save money where I can but don't want to get taken. Any thoughts??

Buy at your own risk. Might be legit, might not be - hard to tell. Several years back there was a big issue around fake Power Pro, and one of the cautions/recommendations was to not buy from certain websites or countries. Not certain if the issue was quality based, trademark related, or both.

Agree with @Team9nine, it's a risky conundrum.

 

I was looking for mountain bike parts and some of the 

best deals for "Shimano" gear came up out of China for

paltry $$ compared to US dealers. I passed, too risky

for my blood.

Given braid can last years, why take a chance?

line is something I don’t scrimp on, especially braid
