As with any boat of that vintage, check for the structural integrity of the wood in the boat. Transom and stringers.  Excessive soft spots in the floor or a flexing transom are warning signs.

As for the engine.  I've seen engines run great on the muffs but fall flat on their face when you put them in water and tried to actually push the boat with one.  

One other thing, the boat is located in Jacksonville FL.  Check for any corrosion,  this may have been exposed to SW.

As for the Kingfisher brand. Long ago out of business.  Just an average boat builder in their day.

No more than $2000 for that boat.
