Trolling motor Mounting Issue

Featured Replies

Im trying to mount my new Motor Guide Trolling motor on my boat and it came with some rubber mounting isolators, which look like a rubber T.

Has anyone had problems using this type of mounting hardware?

Been using the same type hardware here. Never had a problem every so often you will need to tighten them up but other than that they are pretty good.

Mine has been in 5 years mounted that way and haven't even had to be tightened and it has a gazillion miles both road and water on it.

I haven't had any problems except on an aluminum boat when the dealer tightened these rubber isolators too tight and the edge of the 1/2" holes these fit in cut the rubber.New ones were reinstalled and were trouble free for the life of the trolling motor. Crowcommander
