DIY: Weedguard - What size thread I should get?

Decided to buy a vise and work on those 4/0 Gamakatsu Finesse Wide Gap Hooks with the mono line.

What thread size should I get from Joann's or Walmart ?

This is what I plan to do...

To wrap the mono/wire for the weed guard? If so I like to use size 6 and 3 for pretty much everything, I like thicker for dressing my treble hooks and the smaller size for tying hair jigs and skirts on my jigs.

Just went out and got two strings rolls (black)

Did some work on it. I know its not perfect but it will do for now.

Last part is the epoxy. I have one here but it looks like it was so old that it doesn't come out.

Looks like I gotta go to Walmart and find a very small one.

Or I can put gorilla superglue and forget it
