So i have an abu garcia silver max casting rod that i baught as a combo last june and one of the guides and the inserts fell out. Wondering if i would need the proof of purchase in order to contact abu garcia about it at all? Sorry im new here and dont reaky know much about this website yet at all

Why don’t you return it to the store where you got it? 

 You can also call abu or email them they are not the best customer service but they will call you back I’ve delt with them before they are going to want you to send pictures of the guides via email. Give them a call .

I don't believe your rod has a warranty to cover guide damage regardless how it occurred. Your best choice is take it to a tackle shop that repairs or makes rods and have the giude replaced.
