I've been using an 320 for the last year.  Not a bad graph for the money.  Not the best, but not the worst either.

I have the Eagle Fishmark 480 for the front ot the boat and the Eagle Fishelite 480 for the consol.  Extremely good fishfinders (and in the Fishelite 480's case, very good GPS unit as well).  I have never used the 320, but if it's anything like the 480, you will be very pleased.

If you are interested go to eagles web site and download the demo.  It is fully functional for the unit so you can see for yourself it it does what you want.  i have no complaints about mine.  Plus the demo allows you to play with settings at home on the computer instead of when you should be fishing.

Save yourself the trouble and add another 60 bucks to that 140 bucks and get the Lowrance X96. You will be satisfied.

Or only add $60 to your $140 and get a Humminbird 565 with twice the vertical pixels as the X96 and triple the coverage underwater.

I like the idea of the dual beam on the Hummer and the extra pixels but, factoring in dependability puts the Hummer out when compared to Lowrance. Thats why the Ranger dealer and Express Boats dealer here quit putting Hummingbird on their boats. Too many returns and problems. Over all these years I have had both and one of my best ones was a Hummingbird. I also had two that it seemed I always had problems with. I currently have had a Lowrance in my boat for about 8 years without any sort of problem except me trashing the transducer ( I run a Jetdrive Outboard ) and my next purchase is going to be a Lowrance X135. JMO ;)

Before Johnson Outdoors purchased Humminbird a few years ago I would have agreed with you about Lowrance putting out a better product, but that is not the case anymore.  Navico now owns Lowrance and their product quality isn't what it used to be.  Just look at some of the other forums out there and see how many problems there are with Lowrance products the last 2 years.  I have owned both and have had good luck with both, but Humminbird is making the better product now and if you do have a problem they at least answer the phone to take care of you.  Check out a recent post on here about their service.
