Hit rock.. now can't shift into reverse..

I whammed into a underwater boulder with my 75 merc 4 stroke.. it still runs fine but.. I can't get it to shift into "park" or reverse.. I don't see and visual damage but something has happened.. any ideas? Thanks!

The linkage or gears in the lower unit are damaged.
