Will be purchasing a kayak this week. Need it to be a solid fishing platform that will also occasionally duck hunt. Narrowed it down to the two, Ascend 10t and the Ascend H10. It will be on the waters of North Carolina, mostly lakes, with an occasional trip to the beach where it would be used on inland waters only no oceans. Which one should I be going with?

I think they will both do the job. The H10 has an advantage in that it will be a drier ride. SOTs can be pretty wet rides, especially if there is a bit of a chop.  That might be a concern if you do any fishing or hunting in cooler, spring or fall weather.
