  1. I have an ascend 10t and I like it a lot. Seat is really comfortable
  2. My guess is the transducer is loose somehow. How did you install it(the transducer)?
  3. I’m all for fishing, but brownie points in the bank look a heck of a lot better when snow is in the forecast...
  4. I just got mine set up, Garmin Striker 4 Plus, trying to find the best way to install transducer still, will probably go with a thru hull install
  5. Just got my striker 4 plus today. So far I am happy, will have it on the water tonight.
  6. Just bought my first kayak, ascend 10t, and am looking for ways to mount the fish finder to the center rail. Needs the be removable since I car top the yak. I’ve tried searching the forums and the internet myself, but being very new to it, it’s all above my understanding level. What all do I need to buy to get this up and running. I already have my power source.
  7. Will be purchasing a kayak this week. Need it to be a solid fishing platform that will also occasionally duck hunt. Narrowed it down to the two, Ascend 10t and the Ascend H10. It will be on the waters of North Carolina, mostly lakes, with an occasional trip to the beach where it would be used on inland waters only no oceans. Which one should I be going with?
  8. I’m on the fence about purchasing a creek boat m80 to pull double duty of duck hunting and bass fishing back creeks and coves on Lake Norman in North Carolina. Anybody had experience with this boat? How does it paddle? Might look to rig up a trolling motor I already have as well.
  9. 90s work great for me
  10. Recently been granted to keep a boat at the in laws on the north end of Lake Norman in NC. I know it's an extremely large body of water but on the north side, in coves and creeks, would a 12 ft Jon be sufficient to putz around in and fish maybe even shoot some ducks in the proper season?
  11. Thinking about trying out the MJ rig to pick up my summertime blues. Not much of anything is working well, get lucky here and there but can't seem to find a consistent bait that just works. What do y'all think? I pond hop and fish off a few local lakes so just looking for overall an effective presentation.
  12. Texas rigged 6.5" finesse worm in methiolate
  13. I like the 90s because they don't sink as far on the initial drop helping keep them weedless, but I will also be buying a 110 for when weeds are less of an issue.
  14. When I was just starting out it was the simple Texas rig worm in whatever color suits the water type. Fast forward a few years and I have more lures than I'll ever be able to use. Pick a few that you know how to use and expand out from there. Soon enough you'll find what suits your style and your lake.
  15. Can't be of any help, but followed because I am in the same boat(see what I did there) looking for the same style boat and any info I can get.
  16. Bluegill and Loon in the 90.
  17. Love my 90's, no issues wth keeping them upright with a steady retrieve. Might try a 110 just for the heck of it though.
  18. Looking to get into fishing the lakes around Charlotte and know I am still a few yeas out of a boat so looking for an affordable kayak suggestion. Even used would be considered, I am a big boy though so stability and weight capacity is crucial. Would be hauling around on top of a SUV so portability is also a factor. I have looked into plenty with the Old Town Vapor being a decent option and the Vibe kayak brands as well, just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger early in the summer. Any suggestions for these lakes would be appreciated.
  19. New to the forum, been fishing since I first hooked a bluegill on a bread ball, been hooked ever since. I live in Charlotte, NC and fish Lake Wylie and Lake Norman as much as I can (No boat yet). Fish a small lake in central Virginia at a family house where I have landed some decent fish. Looking forward to reading up and learning some new stuff.
