Ambassadeur reel

Featured Replies

My cousin and I went fishing in a heavy rain the other day. When we got home we decided to re-lube our reels. He assured me he could take it apart without a guide. Now the reel takes a second or two of turning the handle before the spool begins to move. He had a few extra shims left over. I took it apart and put it back together and couldn't figure out the issue. The reel is an Ambassadeur 5600CB. I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and has a fix. TIA

Do a web search for schematics, their out there. Leftover parts are no good..

YouTube has some really good videos on that reel.

Thank you, I will try both.

A nephew of mine is said to have a natural talent for putting vertebrae back in place.  I prefer to go to my chiropractor rather than chance it even though my nephew does it for free.

If you can't find what you need to fix the reel on youtube, then consider someone like DVT.  You know....guys that know what they are doing.
