Northern Minnesota in the summer

Featured Replies

How do you guys locate bass in July and august months in northern Minnesota. What are some of the baits that consistently catch you fish? Thanks for the help.

July i would start the morning fishing a top water on the shady side of the lake as long as blue gill are spawning. Later in the day i would fish docks with a jig or wacky senko. If docks are no good i would look for deep weeds and or rocks and work them with a jig or crankbait on cloudy days i would also fish a spinner bait. You can also try 8 to 10" worms texas rigged or fish a drop **** on weed edges rocks and weedy points. As the sun gets low i would look for surface activity and fish a topwater again.
