bow mounting a ff

Featured Replies

Thinking of putting a FF on the bow. Need ideas on where to mount the transducer and also what is a good but resonable price unit to purchase.

I seen quiet a few that were epoxy to the trolling motor or installed on a homemade bracket that attached to the trolling motor.

Here is a link to Trolling Motor Transducer Mounting Bracket sold by Bass Pro shops

If y'all got an Academy in your neighborhood they have a trolling motor bracket for under $7  :)

Thanks,  There is a Academy close by. Will check them out.

Before I bought a TM with a built in transducer I tried the brackets but had the most success with a large hose clamp around the TM and through the transducer mounting lugs. They make a transducer that is curved to fit a TM just for this purpose.

I have had good luck over the years with Eagle's. If I was buying a new one I would strongly consider a color unit. The more vertical pixels the better.
