I finally got the boat out Friday for my first fishing trip this year. Only about a month later getting started due to this crazy spring weather. I got to fish about four hours. I caught three. The first one was the biggest at about three pounds and 17" long. The next two were about 12" to 13" inches long. Started out throwing a chatterbait that never got a sniff. I caught the first one on a baby brush hog. The next two I caught on a 4 " sticko. That is BPS version of a senko. I least i have made a start on fishing this year.

I got my boat out Friday for the first time as well. Fishing was rough, caught a few here and there but overall the bite was not good. The good part was I finally got the boat out though.

I agree just getting the boat out to make sure everything is okay was worth it. The lake I was fishing they have made it into a trophy lake. You are allowed to keep one but it must be 20" long. Everyday is like a weekend on this lake. These fish get hit so hard everyday it is a miracle anybody catches anything. The bite was slow for me too. had some bites where they nipped at it and let it go. Maybe we will both have better luck next time.
