You guys that fish in a boat while the snow is flying, do yo ever worry about the motor freezing up. :-/ The reason I ask is this year I am still fishing when I have normally winterized the boat. Some of the mornings around here have been pretty chilly lately. (around 25-28 deg.) I really want to try to get as much fishing in as I can but I worry about the motor freezing on me. :-/ I let the water out of the lower unit at the ramp and trim it all the way down when I get it in the garage. Do I really have a reason to worry about this if I'm getting the water out? :-?    I hate cold weather!!!  >

I lower the motor when I trailer it, raise it back up and lower it a second time.  This gets all the water out.  Then I go home put it into the garage.  I have never winterized a motor.  I use it as often as I can so I don't use stabilizer in the gasoline either.  I have never had any problems.

what your doing is fine (no need to worry about freezing ) only thing ill add is change out your lower unit oil right now in case there is any water in there to mfreeze other than that ....go fishing
