Fishing equipment

Featured Replies

I am trying to find the value to be able to sell my late father's fishing equipment.  He passed away 12 years ago and used to fish at Lake Murray in S.C.  I am not sure the best way to do this since I'm not really familiar with fishing equipment.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Like many things, it is old enough to be antique/ collectable valuable or old enough just to be old fishing gear and not too valuable.  Why Don't tell us specially what you have?

Another way to gain insight is to cruise your local Craigslist to get an idea of what 12+ year old fishing gear usually goes for.

You may have a few gems, then again you may have just a bunch of really old fishing equipment.

There Are a lot of super knowledable folks here on the forum that could probably help you out getting an idea of what things are worth it at least give you some more info about the equipment

Firstly, my condolences to you and your family for your loss. Even though it was 12 years ago, I know it isn't an easy thing to deal with.

Checking sites like craigslist or Kijiji is a good start. People here are quite knowledgeable. There is a buy and sell part of this site and I am sure people would give you fair value.

Are you sure you don't want to keep it for sentimental reasons or pass it down to other family members or grandchildren?
