Rod and reel trade in program

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever used American Legacy’s “best in class” rod and reel trade in program? Any thoughts on it or experiences with it would be appreciated. I’m thinking about doing a couple trade ins.

I have had my stuff quoted, and also bought some of their used stuff. They usually buy low and sell low. It would be worth it for me to trade my stuff in since they are only 25 minutes down the road. Anyone else I feel like shipping would eat you alive in rods under $200

Yeah, just got my quote back and it may just be worth it for me to sell my stuff to an individual. Didn't realize they wouldn't cover shipping.

I've used it a number of times. Adam is pretty fair in his appraisals. It's a decent deal, if you have several items. I wouldn't trade a single rod or reel, but if you can bunch 5 or 10 together, the shipping per item is nominal.
