need help nitro 882 this boat has a 150 xr6 turning a 23 tempestII prop gps 58mph full throttle 5200 rpm will go 60 but chine walk is awesome boat should run in mid to high 60s and turn around 5600 rpm boat is set up  from factory with 6 inch set back non adjustable jack plate have tried 2 other props and no improvement have a friend with same set up but 150 opti and he gps 66 mph turning same prop this motor is an 04 with only 25 hrs I got the boat used with only 18 hrs on it and it had already had the 20hr service done this was my bosses boat

66 on a 150 gps sounds lil to high how far is your motor off pad 3-3.5" sounds like motor is too low

Go over to iboats.com forums.  Those guys over there are right on the money when it comes to stuff like this.  

i have the 884 savage 175 efi 25" ballistic prop and im getting 64mph. hi 60's is a whole new class of motor from what ive seen..........i could be wrong.
