Cal Delta Bass Fishing Newbie

Hello All! Super excited to join the forum, really hoping to connect with a new group of friends here.

I moved from Utah with my family a few weeks ago, we live in Concord. I lived for trout fishing in Utah, was a guide when I was a teen, etc. I have been fishing for bass in Lake Powell and a few lakes in Utah but never really had someone to walk me through the basics. I learned online and really fell in love with the idea of bass fishing. I follow the FLW and Bassmaster tours and I am itching so bad to get out there and learn.

I am headed to Lake Berryessa tomorrow for some shore fishing, just got to get out. I don't have a boat. Really I'm just looking for someone to fish with, from shore or from a boat. More than happy to pay for gas, supplies, etc. It would be seriously awesome for me to be able to go out with someone who knows what they are doing.

Anyone game for some fishing, or have recommendations for clubs around the Concord area? Thanks in advance!

Hello @Matthew Hardin, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums! Hope things went well up at Berryessa. As for your question on fishing clubs, you might want to look up the Contra Costa Bass Club or Delta Bass Club to get you on the water as a non-boater fisherman. Good fishing, JB

Thanks JB, lake Berreyessa was excellent! I sent a message to the CC Club but it looks like they are full and maybe focus on tournament fishing? I'm more looking for a casual fishing buddy, don't mind fishing alone but it's harder to learn that way. Thanks for the heads up!
