river fishing

Featured Replies

Has anyone fished in Oregon off the river of John Day? What has been your experiences fishing in this river? What types of baits

have worked really well and baits not so much, maybe depending on season, weather, temp of water or just fish being finicky?

From YouTube I'm hearing that using tube jigs work REALLY well, what have you you noticed using this bait? Want to hear from you

anything that can help inexperienced bass Fishing.

Fished both the John Day and where it dumps into the Columbia.  Used to be a great area for both bank and boat.  Dry Creek makes a baby bass tube that worked well in these waters.  Also a 3 inch senko they make (so do others too) on a 1/8 ball head work well fished slow.  Lots of rock...expect to  loose a few.

Good luck.
