Local tackle shop got first order of the WP 75. They had 6 colors and was on the fence with the Powder color or the Bone color. Guy at counter said the Bone was popular.

 

The weight is 3/5 oz, which I have no idea how heavy that actually is. So I put the WP 75 on my scale and it's just shy of 5/8 oz. Now I know.

 

Also, I always check to see how well the tail spins before I buy and walk out the store. I've checked other sizes of WP the same way and have found some tails don't spin freely as others of same color. Had that issue with the I Know It color in 110 size. I had to go through 4, spinning the tail to find the right one.

 

I'll give this new, stubbier version of the Whopper Plopper a go around tomorrow morning. I'll review it later, hopefully it will be just as good as the other sizes of WP.

 

It has size 4 treble hooks, I'm thinking I may upsized to short shank size 3.

Nice, I have three coming from TW on Monday. I would of had them sooner, but I’m to cheap to pay for fast shipping. Really excited for them as I love how the 110 performs, but the 90 size seems to be a better size. Looking forward to hearing how they perform for you.

From the look and girth of the 75, its should cast better than the 90 on casting rod/reel.

 

I'm curious if it will have a different churning sound than the other 4 sizes.

 

I'll eventually get the loon color, so I'll have both light and dark colors. 

So I used my be whopper plopper 75’s this morning. Caught my first fish within 5 min and then lost the second one and the whopper plopper about 20 min later. Huge strike and then I was hung.

 

I feel that they run better than the 90s and not as good as the 110s. I didn’t have a ton of problems with it rolling or nosediving. The only problem was the transition period when the line becomes tight above water. Was using 40 lb braid and using a bait caster.

I ordered a few more from TW. I think they are better than the 90 and I need a smaller size than the 110. To be honest I probably should have just bought some buzzbaits, but I seem to have better luck with the whopper plopper.
