Utah Bass Fishing

Featured Replies

Is the bass fishing any good in Utah? It is looking increasingly likely that I will be moving there in the next few months. I will be moving from Minnesota. I will have a kayak and most likely be looking to buy a boat in the next couple years. Will I be disappointed and have to learn to fly fish?

Thanks,

Depends on what part of Utah.

I live in Northern Utah and there is different areas to fish, we have excellent smallmouth bass, wiper, walleye and trout, we also have lots of large mouth bass in local ponds through out the state.

You don't need to fly fish unless that is something you want to learn.

Lots of people do fly fish but I just throw on my waders and use a spinning rod and small jerkbaits and catch tons of

large brown trout.

What part of Utah are you moving to?
