Hey guys, I have a livewell problem, I can only get about 2 inches of water in my livewell.  I blew some air through the holes last night so I know they are open, any help?

Pump clogged?  Impeller broken?  How is your LW configured?

Had a problem with my live well and when Jerry Cooper of Cooper's Marine in Ashland, Virginia took a look at it I had not turned off the switch so it burned into total destruction.

I also agree to check your tubing as it may be clogged.

But check your pump, too.  It may be time to consider installing a new one.

i had this problem a little while ago, i replaced the pump and all the hose to find somehow a little nugget of silicon was free floating in the end of the hose entering the livewell--when running it would block most of the water, but i didn't find it cause it still let plenty of air by it.  At least i have a whole new set up now.

The exact same thing happened to me last summer.  I couldn't get any water into the livewell and it happened during a tournament.  I could hear the pump running but nothing was going into the livewell.  I finally figured it out.  The blades in the pump had completely broken off.  I spent $20 at Walmart for a new pump and it is as good as new!  If you hear your pump it could still be the pump.
