I really want a shimano chronarch mgl but it's not recommend for salt water and the California delta is what I fish and it's brackish water. I'm getting mixed answers on peopel recommending it being safe or not. But what confuses me is how the met mgl and bantam mgl are saltwater fine but not the chronarch mgl if someone can let me know if the chronarch mgl is safe for brackish water or have experience please let me know 

The chronarch mgl is no good for salt , even brackish. That's why they made the chronarch G.

I had the chronarch mgl , honestly I didn't see where it casted any better than a curado 70 or curado k.

 

I have a couple of chronarch mgls although not a significant difference in casting from the 70 and the k their is a difference with the mgl spool just seems like a it takes less enertia to fling a bait also I would not use them in salt or brackish water.

Agree. I bought a Chronarch MGL and had a 70hg as well, returned the MGL bought a 70xg negligible difference in casting to me. I also have a Chronach CI4 that factored in a little to the decision to return the MGL.

Good points, I went the opposite.  Although the casting, especially with light lures was not that much better it was still a little better.  I also was not comfortable with my 70's line capacity.  Firing a lipless crank wasn't a comfortable option with the 70.  I don't flip and pitch much so ended up buying a second Chronarch and gifting the 70.  Now if they come out with a K 70 I'd definitely bite.

 

I know the reason the CI4 was not saltwater safe was spool corrosion, is that still the only difference from the MGL to the G?

Get the Chronarch G, same reel just different spool.  This is for saltwater!
