Bass Fishing Clubs Potomac River Maryland

Featured Replies

I am 20 years old, and I have  passionately bass fished for about 10 years now. I have always wanted to join a club as a co-angler to fish tournaments, and gain more  knowledge on bass fishing. I do not know many other people who have a bass fishing passion as much as myself, therefore I do not have any contacts to join a local club. If anyone is in a Southern Maryland club, and has room for a co-angler please let me know! I’d be more than happy to join to fish tournaments, and gain more knowledge on bass fishing. Thanks.

Our club, Fish On Bass Anglers, fishes the Potomac and most other local waters.  Not in Southern MD though - we're based in Montgomery County.  Open to all, boater/co-angler draw format.

Only the meetings are in MoCo though and we don't have participation requirements or anything like that.  If you'd like more info feel free to PM me.  Website is in my profile, can't post it due to forum rules (it's only allowed on profile).

  • I don’t belong to a club but I fish southern md and the Potomac a lot. Have room on my boat 50% of the time if you are interested in a trip we could meet up.

am always looking for a club:) the only draw back is that I would need an interrupter for the meetings. but on the boat, nope cuz its all about fishing hard all day and "High Fives" when the hawgs is being launched into the boat

@Burke, FOBA is always open and willing to work with anyone...If you want to talk logistics feel free to shoot me a PM.  I'll be honest about how things work and won't try to 'sell' you on it.  Same goes for anyone else that might be interested.

Since this got bumped I'll just shamelessly plug again... The 2019 Tournament Schedule will be coming out in early December, I'll make a post about it when it does.

Thanks - will hit you up on PM tonight.

Check out "Links" at the top of this page and to the right. You will see the following list of some bass clubs.

Then, Google the Maryland BASS and FLW Federations and contact the two asking about clubs in your area.

Good luck.

I know this is an old post, but I am also looking to join a bass club in the MD metro area. Also if anyone is looking for fishing buddies, I am looking to meet and make some angling friends. Getting back into fishing after a 10yr hiatus and none of my friends fish. Any input, help or info on bass clubs/tournaments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

FOBA is still (and always) open.  Here's a post from earlier in the year with some more info and a copy of our schedule.  (One thing to note is that since this came out 1 tournament has changed - Kerr Lake in October has been changed to Deep Creek Lake due to scheduling issues down at Kerr)

Feel free to post here or message me if you want any more details.
