Lew’s mach crush or Lew’s tournament MB

Featured Replies

Hey, I just bought a 6’6” st croix avid x medium-heavy with a fast action tip on sale for $150 Canadian so now I need a reel. I am trying to decide between a Lew’s tournament MB speed spool or a Lew’s Mach crush. Any suggestions, or if there’s another reel you think you work well and last a long time let me know please. I plan on using 30lb suffix 832 with jerkbaits, weightless senkos and flukes for bass and mid 20inch pike.

 Thanks, David

The mb is a way better reel in almost every way... in my opinion. I have used both. If you want to spend less, look to the diawa fuego ct. If you want to spend more... I can't help much, I'm currently only using mb's and fuegos.

I agree, I have both, the Tournament MB is better.......smoother, feels better on both cast and retrieve, casts farther.

Thanks guys MB it is

I have a couple of the MB's and love them I also have several of the Lew's LFS reels. Lew's reels just seem to fit my hand better than other brands.
