Lures for my setup?

Featured Replies

Hey all, :hello:

I decided to get a baitcaster and I went with a 6.8:1 on a 7'1" medium-heavy that recommends 3/8 - 1oz lures with 15# braid. I was wondering what kind of baits or lures I should try in lakes that have bass, trout, and fatty blue gill. Thanks!

What do you want to catch, the bass, trout or BG?

preferably bass or trout... I've been down the asiles at sportsman's and Walmart filled with lures and the soft plastics I honestly just have no idea what any of them are used for. Most of them don't have a list of fish or how to use them. I know fish don't have set preferences on what they'll eat depending on the fish and how big but there's just a lot to choose from and it's pretty intimidating to just pick something off the wall and not know what I'm putting on my line.
