Cape Cod / Truro area Sept 15 salt water info pls

Featured Replies

Wife and i are headed to the Cape for 4 or 5 days.   Can anyone give me some insight on where i should go for some surf casting ?  I do not care what i catch.

Wife would like to relax and read on some beaches.   I do have chest waders and basic surf casting rods.  Can i use more than 1 rod at a time in Ma ?  One to cast with and 1 to let sit.   Ideas on baits to use for both casting and letting something sit.  I am willing to buy stuff to enjoy for the 4 or so days

Your best bet will be the local tackle stores.   I can't quote you names in that area but google will help you locate them.

You can also also check out fishing reports on-line at:  on the water.  Goose hummock.  My fishing cape cod to name a few.

I highly suggest doing a half day striper trip.   That's guaranteed fish....and most likely a lot of them.

Also i think you can you use 2 rods per person.   If not say one is your wife's.

race point.  but theres alot of seals around the outer cape.  so its a pain in the arse.  i live further north in MA, but i can tell you fall run is happening, peanut bunker have shown up.  go to buzzards bay for some bones, ablies and blues.  dont really have much info for surfcasting that area other then  race point. you could also try barnstable harbor mouth or brewester flats. but those spots arent really "Surfcasting".

Thank YOU.  I leave to go there tomorrow.  First stop will be at one of the local bait/tackle shops and on the water.
