Scorpion 71 vs. Scorpion DC

I am looking at getting designated Jerkbait and Chatterbait setups in december. As far as rods go, I am looking at a 6'4" M St. Croix Avid X and a 7'0" MH Cousin's im8 for the Chatterbait rod. I really like the look and design of both the Scorpion 71 and the Scorpion DC. What reel do you think would match each rod and technique the best? I would be using the Chatterbait rod for chatterbaits during tournaments and it would serve as an all purpose rod with 15-17 lb fluorocarbon when fun fishing. The jerkbait rod will be for jerk baits and small cranks with 10 lb fluorocarbon.

also what gear ratios would you recommend. I was thinking of an 8:1 for the jerk bat to pick up line quickly, and the Chatterbait rod to be a 6 or 7:1.(currently have a 7.3 tattle ct).
