Keeping water out.

Featured Replies

Hey I I have a 2005 tracker v-18.  But every time it rains at a decent rate the rod boxes and the other boxes get water into them. What are some solutions for this I do have the boat covered at all times. Are there any videos on how to make adjustments to your route boxes to prevent this.

Is the cover not waterproof? Most boats will have weatherstripping around all lockers and dry boxes. Maybe it's torn somewhere or missing altogether?

Leaky lockers are a common issue with aluminum boats.

In storage with the cover on when raining? Maybe a photo with the cover on will help find a solution? I'm picturing a sagging rain filled cover that allows water to seep in at the seems causing the issue. Anyways a photo might allow one to offer a solution if so.
