New guy with question...

Featured Replies

Hi, fell in love with a stradic 2500 at dicks. Was gonna treat myself then I hear about a lighter/ stronger?? ci4 version.

I guess I am wondering if it worth the extra cabbage? Probably would end up on my mojo worm rod and I would switch my revo x 2000 to an even lighter rod.

I like instant gratification and dicks is 3 miles away but I would order the ci4 if it is appreciably nicer.

Thanks for reading my query, I look forward to hearing your opinions...

 Regards, Russ

I can safely say my CI4+ 1000 is my favorite among all my

Stradic models (FI, FJ, FK). So IMHO, yes, it's a worth the

extra cabbage.

I've never used either of them so I can't really comment. It does look like some say there is a balance issue using the ci4 for whatever that's worth.

If you really like the Ci4+, then I would say save up and get one. It's a favorite reel by many.

Myself, I'm happy with my Daiwa BG 2000, which is overall fairly comparable but heavier, and cheaper. Highly recommended if you cannot swing the Stradic you have your heart set on.

I've used both the Stradic FK and Ci4+. When it came time to upgrade reels, I purchased more of the Ci4+. I've got 3 of the Ci4+ reels now.

The bait monkey has nothing on me. :roflmao1:

My only spinning rod uses a ci4+ 2500. It’s unbelievably light and we’ll built. Would definitely recommend.

Both are awesome, but put both on your rod and see which feels and balances better.

I have fished the stradic fk only once but I was able to fish it for a couple hours. And I own the stradic ci4+, both are awesome reels but if I were purchasing another (which I am shortly) it will be another ci4+
