Fishing spots near Brockport (Rochester) area?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, Im a new member originally from WNY. I am a freshman at college in Brockport and since I cant bowhunt I'm itching to get out and do some fall bass fishing. I brought all my tackle up and a few baitcasters. However, I knew all the hotspots near me and all the little ponds but I dont know where anything is up here or what to use. Does anyone have any tips on what to throw or where to go near me. I dont have a lot of free time but when i do i want to have a line in a water. Ive looked at multiple forums and maps but I dont know whats private property and what the hot spots are around here. Thanks in advance!

Hey Ben, I'll be up in Brockport in two weeks chasing salmon. You have a ton of creeks around you just off of Lake Ontario that are full of salmon right now.

I'd suggest talking to @clayton86. He lives local to you and may be able to help.

Hey guys. I’m also a student at Brockport. I was looking to do some fishing for the same reason. Any recommendations on where to go?

Try the canal. Lots of people talk about good fishing in there
