As the title states , are there any Cush - It brand rod foam rod butt pad users  ... I see them now being used by FLW , Elite , MLF Pros , looks like a foam bulb on the rod butt and comes in Red , Yellow , Blue and Silver (at TW) . Looks like it could be useful to protect ribs on the hook set or while fighting a fish ... Your thoughts or experiences ?

From my understanding it also will make your rod float if it happens to fall in the sink.

This is, IMHO their only advantage and purpose

They won't fit in the rod holders on my kayak so they are a no go for me
