I'm thinking about going to Lake Eufaula in Alabama next week, but it's an eight hour drive. Is the bass fishing even worth the effort in early December or should I just hang it up until the spring? I would be fishing around Lakepoint State Park.

With the weather this time of the year Eufaula can be so hit or miss. 

Some good bags being caught right now. 23 pounds won this past weekend. 18 pounds 2 weeks ago. What I hear fish are deep and being caught on big cranks. Whether or not it's worth the drive I can't say but the fish are there if you can find them

just wondering if there is any spots willing to share...going there in dec and any info appreciated
