  1. Not sure if I agree. I have experience longer casts going from straight FC to braid to leader on spinning. Proof? In addition, almost everyone tends to agree as well.
  2. Memphis is far enough inland that youll be fine. By then it will be a depression and winds around 20-30 mph. Power outage due to downed trees are more of an issue. If you were in Louisiana, then I would be running for the hills lol.
  3. Yes sir. Get them while you can. The new Super Destroyer is amazing! Great rod for skipping jigs, swimming a jig, etc.
  4. If the guide insert is ok, then you could rewrap the guide and epoxy it back on.
  5. Also consider the NRX will potentially be revamped so I would personally wait. I highly recommend a Megabass Destroyer, St Croix Legend Elite or X instead until G Loomis drops a new rod.
  6. Big difference between the Exprides and Champion.
  7. I agree that the Texans looked rough but I think it was a good move to trade him but I don't like the trade they made. They were such a 1 dimensional offense throwing to Hopkins. Now Fuller will pick up a bigger role with Hopkins gone
  8. I cry inside when I hear big game lol. I highly recommend giving flourocarbon a try and if you don't like it try a copolymer. I only use mono for topwater. I think you'd be very happy. Goodluck buddy
  9. Brands I would recommend: Shimano, G Loomis, St Croix, Megabass, ALX, Phenix, Daiwa, Miller Rods. I know some people like them but Dobyns is one of my least favorite as I don't find the rods sensitive at all. I have fished the Champion, Xtasy, Champion Extreme, etc and not impressed. The tapers are quite nice for moving bait rods though. Bottom contact I would look elsewhere.
  10. Depending on which trailer but yea. The dark sleeper would be an excellent shakeyhead casting rod, finesse jig, and light t-rig rod. Nothing too heavy.
  11. I would go with Daiwa Revros, Regal, or Exceler over the Speed Spin
  12. I like the rod for light texas rigs and small finesse jigs. 3/8 oz jig w/ trailer is the max I would throw on it.
  13. If that floats your boat then by all means ?
