What is a good suitable spinning rod that I should get?

Featured Replies

I'm getting a spinning rod to pair with a daiwa bg 3500. These are the specifications I have been looking fora 8'6 or 9', medium, mod-fast or fast action, and good guides (zincorium, fuji, aluminium oxide, etc). I have been looking but there are so many options? Anyone have a recommendation and why? My budget is under $125 though preferably under $100.

thanks!

so far i've been looking at the Penn Prevail, Fenwick HMX, st croix triumph, okuma cedros, daiwa acculite.

Based on your location, rod length, and reel choice I'd assume you're using this for saltwater or surf fishing? This forum may not be the best spot for that but I'm sure someone can help you out.

What species are you targeting and do you plan to use this in a river environment?
