its a minkota 15. someone has it for sale and want to know if it has enough thrust to push my jon boat around.  12 footer. all help and replies are appreciated.

I had a 50 # thrust on my 14ft lowes and sometimes I needed more. I wouldn't buy it.  JMO

ok...thanks. i have a little out board motor but i was thinking to use it to get where i need to be and the trolling motor to just mote up and down along the weed beds and such.

deffinently not enough, ive got a 45 on my 14 fotter and it works nice

you need at least 30 pounds of thrust, I have a 30 and a 42 bow mount on my 12 ft V-bottom and still need some more on a windy day. Better to have to much than not enough power

I dought if that is a 15 lbs thrust motor, but I do know it is older then dirt.  It may work for you if the price is right <100 preferably <50.

It's 15#, it only has a single clamp for mounting. It's OLD
