Looking to buy a small bass boat

Featured Replies

I am looking at buying a small bass boat like something that is 10ft or less and can fit in the back of a truck bed if possible.  I does not have to be a two person one because if I get a two person one I am going to take the front seat out so I can have a bigger casting deck.  I want something that I will be able to stand up in a "Flip fish"

My jon boat just isnt reliable anymore to many small leaks :'(  I dont want another jon boat I am thinking something with plastic ;D that wont rust :)

You can get something called a pond prowler that cabelas and basspro sell. They come at the max 9 ft. i think. But you won't be able to put a deck on it or anything due to stability

Check out the NuCanoe!!! www.nucanoe.com I have one and it is great but alas, my wife wants me to get a real bass boat and I'm done arguing with her about that (she WON and so did I:o) I built outriggers/stabilizers for mine and it is now extremely stable!! I fished in it for 7 hours last Saturday and standing to fish is no problem. There is a ton of room in the boat too!! I'm going to be selling mine to make room in the garage for my new/used bass boat and trailer. You might also want to check out the kayak fishing stuff website. My NuCanoe is the 10' Rec version in brown camo and is easily loaded and transported in my Ford Explorer Sport 2 door (it doesn't quite fit totally inside but I just strap down the rear hatch over the approximately one foot that sticks out the back). Just another option for you to consider.

I purchased this one over the Winter and since the ice just left recently, I've only taken it out a couple times but must say that I love the thing.  With a 36lb TM it handles perfectly fine and it easy to load/unload with 1 person.  It fits in the back of my Ford Ranger and yet it can comfortably fish 2 people

Could I be able to stand on up and fish on one of these?

the plastic pontoon boats are A LOT more stable than aluminum jons. I can easily stand up and cast without a problem. Mine came with padded seats so I just rather sit down for the most part  ;D

SeaEagle Foldcat? Not plastic, but very stable and quite large area for walking without the front seat. Just google it or search sea eagle on this site, i just made a post earlier with my experience.
