Quick question for you guys that fish this rod. I just picked up this rod this morning and I’m wondering What other baits/techniques have you thrown on it with good success other then the dropshot? Would love go maybe double down for a few stuff like the ned rig maybe as the rod has a nice soft tip. Would be great the double down on a few different techniques and then get 1 other finesse rod to cover the rest 

Nobody uses this rod for anything else other then dropshot?

I have Two NRX 822DSR rods, one is my dedicated drop shot rod, and the other is my Ned rig setup in my opinion it is the Ultimate Ned rig rod, it also makes a great Slider rod as well.

 

The GLX will be just as good albeit slightly heavier in weight and slightly less sensitive but its splitting hairs, 3.6 oz NRX vs 3.8 oz GLX

 

A GLX 852S would be a great rod for a second rod, tubes, shaky heads, jerkbaits etc.
