I have a 2004 jeep Liberty 4x4 I was wondering if anyone has pulled with one and how much I can tow with it. I will be installing the tow package thru the dealership

My wife pulled my 21' 1400 miles on a fishing trip to TX.  Just make sure that you use tow/haul.

If it is anything like my previous vehicle ('92 Cherokee), You shouldn't have any problem accelerating but braking was my big problem.  Once up to speed, I didn't have any problems (as long as I used the tow/haul as well).  I was pulling a 20' Skeeter w/ a 200hp on it and it did just fine with the inline 6

It should do just fine, I work on these things for a living.  Make sure you do use the tow/haul button b/c if you don't u will eat up the transmission.  Braking will probably be the only issue, i dunno if ur trailer has trailer brakes but they help out quite a bit and its nothing to install a trailer brake kit

Check your book for the GVW rating. My guess it will tow okay but stopping might be a different matter. My trailer has surge brakes which are almost as good as the electric versions. My wife has an older Cherokee and we pull with it on occassion. The jeep has no "tow/haul" feature we just don't tow in overdrive.

I will be pulling mine with an '07 Liberty this year.  But my boat is a 17' Bass Tracker, not exactly a heavy vessal by any stretch.  But I still will be towing with the O/D off.

check your owners manual there is a thing in there that tells your your towing weight.  also check local laws about electric trailer brakes if it is over a certain weight you may need them and it is also safer and easier to stop. and cheap safety to install to ensure itis safe for you , others in the vechial, and around you.
