Rebuilding a trolling motor

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone

I acquired this trolling motor from a friend of mine.

It does not work.

Looks like it needs brushes and seals

Has anyone rebuilt their trolling motor?

How hard was it?

Was it worth the effort?

Thanks

If parts are available at a reasonable price it’s isn’t difficult, may require special spanner wrench to take apart?

Could not open the photo to see what kind of trolling motor you have.  If you go on YouTube there are lots of good videos showing how to trouble shoot and repair the trolling motor.
