Lake Nockamixon Preparation

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,Im a young fisherman from pa who mainly fishes nock but like lots of otheres its a skunk fest most of the time.I been there 90% of the time I have been fishing overall and have caught 3 bass which were luck most likely and I’m really and trying to read up and get all the knowledge of this lake as well as bass behavior and what not so I can hit it hard this coming season.I mainly fish the bank since im 15,and its usually haycock which I have caught one on with a ned rig there,I do sometimes hit the pier and have caught two on a football head jig.I have watched the dvo videos, aswell as any other vids and studied them but to no success.I have tried tons of lures and techniques also.I know there’s a older post but nothing in there was really what I needed. If anyone has tips, techniques, places to try, info on how the bass are here, good books to look at,or anything helpful post it here.Hopefully this could be a nock knowledge encyclopedia for people like me.Thank you all for the help in advanced.

I've only fished Nockamixon a few times with no real success. I know there are a few videos on youtube about the lake. I'd start there. Second, I would consider timing. It really is everything. Most of the successful reports I've heard of the Nock has been during spring and fall. Also consider fishing at night. Bass in summer are more active at night due to them being predators. Other than the few words of advice, I can't really help but I hope you find the answers you need here.
