  1. I use a fishpond back pack for when Im fishing and take stuff ouf of the flambeau bag and keep it in my car when I fish. Its also what I use on boats and holds all my tackle. Im not sure why it ripped, its 6 years old now. I dont think it was from being filled though.
  2. My big flambeau bag has ripped and unfortunately needs to be replaced, this bag was perfect for me. I can not seem to find a bag similar or the same one anywhere but I remember there were tons of bags in this style, any recommendations? This bag has 4 3700 boxes on the bottom, hold a spinnerbait box in the middle, and has another 3700 box on top. And the 4 side pouches. I am looking for either a direct replacement or something similar. Thank you.
  3. Looking to find what this rod is.Looks like it says venator but looking that up doesn’t show anything like it
  4. My reels dont look off,Ill try more tension next time. Its not like the line jumps off but like as Im pulling line off its under the layer Im on until I pull it out and Im conscious when I spool to watch and make sure its not spooling funny.
  5. I tighten the drag all the way,how tight do you want to spool fluorocarbon? I spool them was tight tension but not like pulling the rod or stretching the line.
  6. So I have been having issues of fresh flouro “binding” in on my reels after spooling them. Its like the main line is stuck under a layer of line on the spool but it pulls out and then its fine but it happens the more I go down the spool too.
  7. The heavy is what Im looking to get since I e heard people say they run light. How do the heavy compare to any mh you have used for references, dont want a broom stick when most of what I would throw would be under a ounce probably lightest is 3/8ths
  8. People say they run light is this true? The heavy would be what I get since im looking for a mh rod.I have experience with loomis gcx st croix and dobyns medium heavys if that help with a comparison.
  9. Yeah I read the review,I think Ill get one they seem quality but I’ll probably get the heavy as people say they a lighter than most but I’ll compare and see before
  10. So I was in my local shop today and these rods caught my eyes.I like the look and feel but I dont know much about phenix.I know they have a good reputation but how are these rods? Any issues or things to know.Id get one for mainly bottom contact stuff.
  11. I have a medium fast triumph just sitting right now and was wondering if it would make a good spinner and chatter bait stick. Its a more stout medium and the tip is softer but not like a moderate action so I think it would work pretty good,at least in my mind since it wouldn’t be to soft to not get enough power to fight the fish and its a single hook but too hard to miss any strikes or pull the hooks off.
  12. Cranks that run 10ft to 25ft max. That why im looking at a heavy since cranks that run those depths fit in the weight range of the rods. Some might be lighter or heavy but most of what I need will fit in with the rod. Im going off the weight of the lure, most deep cranks that I would use fit into the 1/2 oz to 1 1/2 oz for the heavy
  13. Im looking to get a crankin rod that will cover most mid to deep divers. Not looking to spend too much since this isnt a huge thing I do but I have a 5:5:1 curado sitting so I figured Id grab a rod to pair with it.Looking for sub 200,Ive looked at the SLX Glass ands Mojo and liked then, thinking a heavy mod or mod fast.
  14. Would the Medium heavy work better with the lipless/squarebill and spinnerbaits and chatter baits but less for jerkbaits? Im thinking of using a diffrent rod for jerkbaits entirely so if those options will be better for the other four and not for jerkbaits thats probaly what Im going to go with.
