  1. Susquehanna River near Port Deposit. It's below the Conowingo Dam and above the Flats in Havre de Grace. There's a small boat ramp in Lapidum (on your side of the river). I've never used the ramp but I think it's probably good for your boat.
  2. The bunks on my aluminum Ranger RT178 trailer are going bad. The existing bunks are 102". I'm considering the Supreme Ultimate Bunk Boards which come in 107" and 95" lengths (about $100 difference). Is it OK to get boards that are slightly shorter than the ones on the trailer as long as they will install on the supports?
  3. Congratulations. Vizslas are great looking dogs.
  4. I am so sorry for your loss. I think about this type of thing a lot. Your words were inspiring.
  5. Haven't seen that one in a long time.
  6. I added several piles of boulders, milk crate structures, PVC 'trees' and some 30 gallon poly barrels (lids and bottoms removed) bolted together. I could do this pretty easily before the pond refilled. The bass and bluegill feed off of each other's offspring. I got most of my info and advice from pondboss.com
  7. I have a 2 acre pond that I had drained and rebuilt almost 20 years ago. When it refilled I stocked it with largemouth and bluegill fingerlings along with a lot of fathead minnows. The minnows bred like rats and provided a lot of food for the small fish. Since the fatheads are slow they got eaten quickly. Start with smaller fish, feed them and you'd be surprised how fast the bass and bluegill grow.
  8. How big is the pond? I was under the impression that if the body of water was under 10 acres it would get overrun with crappie.
  9. As of this morning, with less than 10 games left, the National League has 4 teams that are guaranteed a playoff spot with the Phillies the only team that has won their division. No team in the the American League has clinched a spot yet.
  10. Interesting. Which powered transfer pump do you use?
  11. 5 gallon gas cans? Marina? Gas station while boat is on the trailer? Most times I use 5 gallon gas cans while boat is at home. Not a fan of doing that but I don't refuel that often.
  12. I wound up splaying each of the 3 blades outward just a bit. Seems to have done the trick. The connection is much tighter than before and doesn't wobble at all. Easy fix. Thanks Tom.

    Got it.
  14. Thanks Tom. I was thinking of doing that as it's something I have done with household plugs. The plug I have is the twist lock and not the pin type.
  15. The o-ring makes the plug fit snugly in the receptacle. I will probably replace both male and female connections. Seems simple enough.
