Got this idea from another forum I follow. Post beverages with pics, reviews, what you like/dislike etc.

I'll start. Vodka Gimlet. Had my first one ever last week while on vacation with dad.

My neighbor got this when he went out to a local dude farm and brought one to me.  I really like that neighbor.

It is a farm that city dwellers visit to feel like they've been to a farm, kind of like a dude ranch.

What is that?

1/2oz simple syrup(sugar water), 3/4oz lime juice, 2oz vodka.

This was dads drink when he was in college. Dad is 80. I've never had one until this past week. We were up in Sturgeon Bay fishing, I cracked open a Miller Lite and he made himself a vodka gimlet. Thought I'd try one.

My dad's drink was a gin and tonic.  Sometimes I have one in his memory.  I'm not a big consumer of liquor, but if it's really hot out, they do hit the spot.

My dad's drink was beer, but his son's favorite drink is a martini (That would be me).

I apologize for not including an image, but I trust most can visualize stemware, a clear drink & an olive  ?

Many decades ago, my wife hosted a family Christmas party at our house.

Among others, the attendees included 3 inexperienced drinkers: my mom and 2 of my aunts.

At that time, we had a 2 bathroom, split-level house in Sayreville, NJ.

That evening, I concocted a big jug of gimlets for our guests, enough for everyone.

Gimlets go down like water, but can be very deceptive. Unfortunately, my mom didn't feel well,

and single-handedly shutdown our main bathroom. Not long thereafter, one of my aunt over did it,

and laid claim to our 2nd bathroom. Low & behold, my other aunt became ill and my wife wound up

phoning our neighbor across the street: "Would it be okay if someone used your bathroom?".

Needless to say, that ended my brief career in gimlet concoction.

    1) Sazerac

    2) Sazerac and a beer

    3) Hancock's and a beer.

I'd post a pic, but it's kinda dark in there.    ??   jj

I don't drink... never did, but I come close. Maine's official drink, Moxie. Guaranteed to put hair on your chest and appreciate the idea that you're not dead. My mother in law used to describe it as carbonated tar.

BlueMoon-BelgianWhite.png.6f2c93887b00d50a7309cf76735e5bcd.pngDiscovered quite by accident. Had not been a regular consumer in ages. Now I keep some on hand ?

My drink of choice most weekends is Black Velvet whiskey, Coke Zero and a squirt of lime juice. Black Velvet has been my whiskey of choice for awhile. For mixed whiskey drinks it’s great and the price is right. I get this sized bottle for $15.99 on sale at my liquor store.

That's what I drink most of the time.  If I offer someone around here a Miller Lite or a PBR (both of which are fine with me), people look at you funny.  I've compromised by buying a local but pretty common beer, Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager.  It's always on sale at Norms, and it doesn't get me the stink eye from neighbors.

I was killing double IPA’s most of last year, but for the past six months or so B&T’s have been my quaff of choice. Guinness draught and Bass Ale.

Every now and then (more now that it’s summer), I’ll have some cold G&T’s with Beefeater, tonic, a lime wedge and three olives.

I'm getting into a few tonight. Nothing crazy just some standard Budweisers. Still taste good after doing some yard work and standing in front of a hot grill.

A couple New Belgium Voodoo Ranger IPAs.

When I'm off the water and home for the night..a couple of these on the back deck.

South side of Chicago in a neighborhood called “Little Sicily”.
All though the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

I remember those guys wouldn’t even try something else!

I sat on my patio tonight and had some tacos and some Mango White Claws.

Great refreshing summer drink. Some of the flavors like Mango, Natural Lime and lemon are fantastic. Some like Black Cherry, Watermelon and Raspberry are not for me.
