co-angler setups

What's your standard line up for this upcoming 2019 season?

 

As a co-angler (connecticut) I try to have 5 setup's depending on what my boater is planning on fishing throughout the day. Below are my standard 5 setups.

 

  • Dobyns Fury Spinning 7' Medium Light - Dropshot
  • Dobyns Colt Spinning 7' Medium - Weightless Senkos / Wacky Rig / Tubes / Shaky Head / Ned Rig
  • Dobyns Fury Casting 6'6 Medium Heavy - Smaller Texas Rigs / Small Jigs / Flukes / Spinnerbaits / Chatterbaits
  • Dobyns Colt Casting 7' Medium Heavy Cranking - Anything with trebles
  • Dobyns Fury Casting 7'3 Heavy - Texas Rigs / Jigs / Frogs

I see them around, but I haven't heard much about the Denali rods, what are your thoughts on them?

I haven't fished them yet. Just got them last week. As soon as basketball season is over (I coach), I plan to hit the water. They feel really good and balance great. The Winn grips are awesome. I was worried they were going to be slick feeling but they are not. More of a tacky feel like a golf grip. I've fished my Crucials for the last few seasons and just wanted to try something new. I figure if I don't like them I can go back to the Crucials.

I had winn grips on a lews tp-1 speed stick and i loved them
