I have a 12 foot flat bottom jon boat and was wondering about putting decks in it.  I'm worried about weight.  Don't know if it is even a candidate for such a redo.  any help would be appreciated.  thanks

If it's a 1236 (36" wide on floor) then I would suggest floors instead of decks.  Below is a link to mine, they can be done up to be pretty comfy.

I would suggest this test be done standing on the bow bench.

If you are comfy there, you'll be more than fine when you are centered on a front deck.

Another reason it's great to be small,......my bow seat IS my front deck,lol

Thanks for the responses guys.  I posted this question and then kinda forgot about it.  I will probably do floors except for a small deck up front.  I will try the tests you suggested first though to make sure.  I figure I'll be comfortable but I'll have to test for sure.  Thanks again.
