Getting my motor service....

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 Mercury XR6 150 hp motor. I have owned this almost 3 yrs and have yet to get it service. Last year I changed the lower unit oil and had to get the impeller replaced. After not being able to get it running after 7 months of not fishing I replaced the battery and the spark plugs, still not starting. So I have decided  to get the motor serviced.  My question is what do they do when they service the engine and roughly how much do you think it would cost.  Thanks for the input

if it will not run it is hard to tell.

I have a 2016 115 4 stroke mercury. I take it to Cabelas  once a year for fluid change and a checkup on their computer. it costs around $250.00. I also am on the water 20 hours a week 10 to 11 months out of the year.

Just a update; it was the fuel!!! Water had gotten into the fuel and it’s good to go.
