I am having a hard time picking out my rods that I have already and using the right type of fishing for that rod, an example would be using a rod that is not strong enough in the back bone to get a solid hook set on a square bill. Little things like that seem to mess me up because I have never gotten a clear answer for what I should actually use per rod. Here is a list of my rods that I have for this season. 

 

Casting Rods: 

1) 7'0'' MH 1/4- 1 1/4oz

2) 7'0' MH 1/4- 1 1/4oz

3) 6'6'' M 1/4- 5/8oz

4) 7'0'' M 1/4- 5/8oz

5) 7'3'' H 3/8- 1 1/2oz

6) 7'6'' MH 1/2- ***/8oz Winch Series

7) 6'6'' M 1/4- 3/4oz

 

Spinning Rods:

8) 7'0'' MH 3/8- 3/4oz

9) 6'11'' M 1/4- 1/2oz

10) 7'0'' M 1/4- 3/4oz

11) 6'6'' M 1/4- 1/2oz

12)  6'6' M 1/4- 5/8oz

 

As of right now I use;

1)  Swim jig/ 15+ deep cranks

2) Chatter Bait

3) Tubes/ Flukes

4) Power shot/ Texas Rigs

5) Frogs/ Glide baits

6) Cranks/ Jerkbaits

7) Small Sqaurebills ( Bx Brats)

 

 

8) Shakey Heads/ Texas Rigs

9) Drop shot/ Neko

10) Underspins

11) Wacky Rigs

12) Small Topwaters

My only suggestion is use your 6'6" M casting rod for jerkbaits.
